Blue Canyon course leaped to fame when it was selected as the venue for the 1994 Johnnie Walker Classic and since then it has been recognized as one of Asia’s world class championship golf courses.

Often considered one of the best layouts in Asia, the Blue Canyon Country Club Canyon course is the jewel of Phuket golf. The back nine is arguably the best in Thailand with several memorable golf holes that will be the center of your discussions at the end of your round.

The famous Par 4 13th over a huge canyon tempts the dare-devil in all of us, and the now infamous Par 3 14th from an elevated tee to an island green strikes fear in all players who tee up there is no bail out area and unless you have played the course several times, trusting you have the right club is not an easy decision to make. 

The 17th is one of the most intimidating Par 3’s you’ll find anywhere, and even from the white tees, for most players it’s a long iron or fairway wood to a partially hidden green, a round on this truly magnificent course is an unforgettable experience. 

The clubhouse meets all the expectations of the golf course with an excellent restaurant, outstanding pro shop and five star facilities.

The Blue Canyon Country Club Lakes course is the second course at Blue Canyon, and it was close for 6 months in 2007 for renovation, since it has reopened many members and visitors alike have rated the course higher than the Canyon course itself.

The course is a mixture of water-filled canyons created by open cast mining with its natural land flow left relatively unchanged.

With many water hazards, in fact, water comes into play on 17 of the 18 holes, the front nine run through a landscape of lakes and natural canyons, whilst the back nine weaves its way around lakes and woodlands of rubber trees.

The 18th is widely considered one of Thailand’s best finishing holes. Finding the fairway with your drive is important to have any chance of making Par or better as the approach is over a canyon, which allegedly eats up to 200 golf balls a day.
